Matthew is the youngest of our three boys. He has been diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disorder Complex I and III, Chronic Intestinal Pseudo Obstruction, FTT and Glucose Intolerance. He has been through countless tests and procedures in the past 8 years . We do not know what the future holds for him, but we are going to do our best to cherish every day with him. Stay strong little man.

We are back from yet another trip to Boston. We had a little bit of time in between several doctors appointments and tests to see Matthew's friend Eithene, meet a new friend Nicole, and do some night time site seeing. We stayed at the Family Inn while we were there. You can go to Matthew's caringbridge site for details of our visit. www.caringbridge.org/visit/matthewcech

Matthew(4) with his friend Eithene(2). It was a long day for the both of them and Eithene wasn't in the mood for a picture. She was being admitted to the hospital while we were there. Matthew was very happy to see her. He talks about her all the time.

Matthew having his EKG done. He was very distended and retaining fluid in this picture.

Matthew with his new friend Nicole. Nicole does a different charity each year. This year she decided to collect gifts for some children on the Make a Child Smile web site. Matthew is on that site. It was so nice that we were able to meet. She brought Matthew a wonderful bag of gifts. Matthew loved playing with her and we hope to stay in touch.
