Boston trip 8-08

Matthew was just seen by several of his doctors in Boston this past week. While we were there we found some time to have some fun!

Matthew with his little statue friend in the garden at CHB.
Matthew standing in front of the height requirement sign for the kiddie rides at Six Flags. He's too small even with his braces on.
Matthew and a huge lollipop display. Matthew wanted to take home all of the lollipops!
We stopped by to visit some of our family who lives in Massachusetts. Matthew's Uncle John gave him the cool hat. I don't think that I would mess with this little dude!

Matthew's Medic Alert Bracelet

Matthew received his new Medic Alert Bracelet last week. It was way too big , so we had a friend of ours fix it for us. We picked it up from her yesterday. She did a great job and Matthew loves it. Thank you Monique.

Matthew went to his eye appointment in Vermont yesterday. Everything went well. He is a bit nearsighted but not enough for corrective lenses yet. He had his eyes dilated and we were told that the drops that they used will keep his eyes dilated for 3-5 days. This is not so great for a child who is very light sensitive to begin with. He has to continue wearing his glasses and a hat when outside to protect his thin irises and we have to go back in 6 months for another check-up.

Matthew's Nana and Grandpa bought him this cute frog chair and tan Crocs that he is wearing. They fit great over his braces!

Our friend Mandi came over today with her kids. She got Matthew to go in the pool, play with his sand, finger paint and swing. I think the only activity that he enjoyed was swinging but he didn't cry. YEA Matthew!
